What You'll Need: • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy from an accredited program • AART Certification in Radiation Therapy • Valid Radiation Therapy state license, if required • 2 years' experience as a radiation therapist Minimum Requirements • Graduate of an AMA approved school of Therapeutic Radiology. • ARRT (T) registration required. • BLS required. • Minimum of 1 year of radiation therapy experience. Preferred: 2 years' experience as a radiation therapist. • Experience with ambulatory and oncology radiation therapy environments. • Experience with Varian TrueBeam linear accelerators preferred. • Experience delivering IMRT, SBRT, SRS, HDR, and 3D treatment modalities. • Experience using EPIC and Aria electronic medical records preferred. Assignment Details Facility Type: Hospital Shift Name: Days Shift Hours: 0800 - 1700 Shift Days: Monday - Friday Standard Hours Per Week: 40 Duration: 13 Week assignment Patient Volume: Average 30–45 patients per day Technology / Equipment: Varian TrueBeam linacs; EMR: EPIC, Aria Scheduling: No weekends. No call. Travelers will work approximately 75% of holidays. Orientation: Departmental orientation provided. Floating: No floating required. Location Highlights Concord, North Carolina, offers a mix of suburban living and regional attractions within commuting distance. The city is 20 minutes from Charlotte Motor Speedway and 25 miles northeast of downtown Charlotte, providing motorsports events and urban dining within a 30–40 minute drive. Visit nearby Lake Norman, about 20–30 minutes away, for boating and waterfront recreation, and enjoy outdoor time at the 12-acre Frank Liske Park located in Concord for trails and sports fields. Cultural options include the Concord Mills shopping complex and Charlotte’s Uptown arts district, both accessible by a 20–40 minute drive, supporting an active suburban lifestyle with convenient access to urban amenities. Transit options include Interstate access via I-85 and regional airport service at Charlotte Douglas International Airport approximately 25 miles away, enabling easy travel and weekend trips. Additional Duties: • Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment in accordance with departmental protocols. • Accurately position patients and ensure proper immobilization during treatment. • Verify treatment plans and dosages with the oncology team. • Monitor patients for adverse reactions during and after therapy and report concerns to supervising staff. • Document treatments and maintain accurate patient records in the EMR. Facility and Department Details • Department census averages 30–45 patients per day. • Department supports IMRT, SBRT, SRS, HDR, and 3D treatment modalities. • Chief RT on site for clinical support. • Scrub color: Black.
